Vortex Models International was established in November 3, 2011 by Carl Paolo Corpuz, Cymel, Montenegro, and Paula Bautista as Flicklub Faces. The group made its debut fashion show in an event held on November 5, 2011, in collaboration with the biggest names and brands in Baguio City at that time.
The second major event was on December 11, 2011, as its creators renamed the group to Vortex Models. The Hot Winter Fashion Show was where Flicklub announced their new name - Magnum Artistry. They also launched its web series 'Sino Si Gregorio', and its other branches, Magnum Artistry Records for music, and DNZ as the first behemoth mega dance crew.
VM began its humble and simple journey throughout 2012 and started holding their first workshops on modeling. Vortex Models was also heralded under its creator's original group - Magnum Artistry, a group of multimedia artists. The two companies, held multimedia tours, and seminars all over Northern Luzon.
The group held its third fashion show, Queens of the Streets on July 2012. The event featured music groups, dance groups, and revolutionized the way how shows are orchestrated. Vortex introduced a distinct approach to fashion, and illustrating an idea to its audience.
Vortex Models and Magnum Artistry worked hand in hand to integrate the different performing arts, and creative arts into one unified entity in the present day scene.
In 2013, Magnum Artistry worked closely with Espasyo - an independent arts community that promoted Suporta Lokal, a cause where the group found solace. Vortex coordinated with all fashion groups, and model agencies in Baguio City to bring together everyone in the fashion industry into one single event. Unity is beauty.
The group slowed and stopped operations by 2014.
Magnum Artistry Global re launched Vortex Models in August 2016 and branched out overseas, thus its international status, and adding to its widened reach. The group restructured, and reinstated its luster. Vortex held its first class fashion show after a two year sleep - the Paradox of Fashion on August 27, 2016.
The group celebrated its 5th year anniversary on November 12, 2016 at the Resurgence Fashion Show.
